March Featured Race: Greek Peak Winter Sprint

WHAT

It may be winter, but that doesn’t mean you need to sit around and binge your favorite TV show for the hundredth time. Get off your butt and check out the Greek Peak Winter Sprint! This Spartan race ranges from three to five miles and features up to 23 different obstacles. The blend of obstacles will include tried-and-true obstacles from years past as well as several new ones. Check out the Spartan Ladder, the Olympus climbing wall, the Ape Hanger rope course, and the Ring the Bell course. The manageable length of the race means it’s perfect if you’re a first-time racer but still lots of fun for experienced runners.

Grab your friends and start a team! Whether you have two friends or 20 that want to get in on the fun, you can start a team. Teams of at least four will be included in the race’s rankings, too. Be sure to register for the race at the same time as all your friends to make sure you can all get into the race at the same time.

Greek Peak Winter Sprint Start LineShow up about an hour and a half before your race’s start time so that you have time to park, pick up your packet, check in your belongings and get warmed up. Races start at  9:00 a.m. and registration opens at 7:30 a.m.

Racers receive a unique medal, a t-shirt, free professional photos and free beer. Are you bringing spectators? They get cool stuff, too! In addition to a front seat to watching you race and get dirty, your spectators will receive five Spartan bucks to use in the merchandise tent. They’ll also spend time enjoying festival challenges, raffles, music and more throughout the race.
