Some racers who find they suddenly cannot attend the run this year may defer their participation to race next year.
At the finish line, runners and supporters will find the Spring Market Finish Festival for racers and their friends and family members to enjoy. In addition to vendors and live music, attendees may help themselves to a hot breakfast buffet, flower station, and the Lagunitas beer garden for those 21 years of age and older. Those who wish to partake of the beer will be required to have a special wristband verifying their age.
For runners who enjoy a challenge and special awards, the Chicago Spring Half Marathon & 10K is part of the Chicagoland Half Marathon series. Racers who participate in the Chicago Spring Half in May and the Chicago Half Marathon in September may earn a special 26.2 Challenge Finisher Medal commemorating their achievement.
