(RE)Welcome to Athlinks

Hi there,

This is Troy Busot, Founder and President of Athlinks. I’m writing to thank you for using Athlinks and re-welcome you to the platform. Whether you found your way here through an events’ live results, claiming your past results or by tracking a friend or loved one in a race, we’re glad that you found us!

I wanted to take a minute to give you a better sense of what we do, why we do it, and what you’ll be seeing in the near future from Athlinks.

Our goal from day one has been to archive every single race result on the planet. Over 40 Million results are added to Athlinks each year – 3.5 Million each month – and now 320 Million race results can be found in our database … and counting!

We do this because we believe that by connecting millions of athletes via their past race histories and those of everyone they know, we will make it easier for more people to race more often, and have more fun in the process.

Heading into 2020, our goal is to greatly increase the number of live or “real-time” results available on Athlinks. Already the premiere live results platform on the planet, we’re doubling down on our efforts to raise the bar around the world to make racing more immersive, social, and engaging for athletes and spectators alike.

Simultaneously, we will be focusing on building upon the content and social features that have established Athlinks as the go-to social results platform. With upgrades to map tracking and start lists, as well as features like race analytics, personal insights, photo uploads, race reports, rivals improvements, our goal is to create exceptional athlete experiences on race day, around the globe.

Now, while we believe that connecting like-minded endurance athletes around real-time race data will help to create exceptional athlete experiences, we understand that our first priority is to respect your privacy and ensure your security and we will continue to offer features like user aliases and private profiles because we believe that a person’s need or desire to remain anonymous should not affect their ability or opportunity to race – whether it be for personal or professional security reasons, or just a desire to remain private.

If I may be so bold, I would like to ask 3 small favors from you.

  • Please take a second to follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook –  it’s a great way to give and get feedback from all of you.
  • If you like what we do, please always tell your friends to create a profile, claim their results and get involved!
  • Lastly this is a big ask, please take 5 minutes, look up a race online that you’ve done in the past, and send the Race Director a message thanking them for their work. I promise that there are easier ways to make a living than putting on events and the vast majority exist because of the love and support these organizers have for the sport. It would be extremely meaningful for each of them to wake up to a message of support from their athletes. (Tagging Athlinks or cc’ing us (troybusot@athlinks.com) on the message would also be amazing and appreciated 😉

Keep on the lookout for more updates on our Socials for more details. We can’t wait to take this journey with you and hear about your next finish line adventure!

Thanks for your time and Happy Racing!

  1. Great letter, Troy. I have appreciated and used Athlinks for well over 10 years. The all inclusive race results, unique endurance athlete social platform, and constant site improvement and race updates are great! Thanks for filling a need, and keeping track of all my races!

  2. Athlinks does a great job, but with one glaring disappointment. Race results for the Tokyo Marathon, one of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, are not included in Athlinks.

    • Hi Larry! We crowdsource much of our data, so if you’re seeing something missing, simply submit a request for the results to be added and we’ll have them up in a couple days! Thanks for commenting 🙂

  3. Thank you for all that you do for sports, I have found results that I have forgot about because of you.
Also, it is a great way to reconnect with people that enjoy similar events.

  4. Thank you Athlinks for always keeping track of my races.

Looking forward to what you have in store for 2020 and my races in 2020.

  5. Thanks for great work in putting together this massive database of results in one place.
One suggestion, if you consider yourself to be international, you should enable the setting of showing pace numbers in min/km as people worldwide do.
    Best,
    Alex
