CHICAGO BEAST AND SPRINT WEEKEND
October 5th, 2019
The Badlands Off Road Park is 800 acres of beautiful, badass trails. This venue usually functions as an off-road vehicle park but will transform into a Spartan obstacle course. Spartans will traverse sand dunes, rocky paths, heavily wooded trails, and creeks to prove that you don’t need an ATV or dirt bike to go off-roading. There will be plenty of miles for the Beast and Sprint course here.

The Georgia International Horse Park was the home to the 1996 Olympic Equestrian events. Rolling hills and deep southern woods keep Spartans guessing what’s around the next corner. Georgia red clay makes slippery mud pits.

Fort Campbell is located astride the Kentucky-Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and Clarksville, Tennessee. It is home to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. The Army’s only Air Assault Division, its uniqueness stems from the Regiment’s ability to deploy at a moment’s notice with a mobile and notoriously fast response platform.
I’m running the Mackinac Island 1/2 marathon on October 26 with my sister and two nieces. This is our third race of the “Trio”! I’m sure it will be windy and chilly but am looking forward to a great run in beautiful northern Michigan
