Happy New Year! Ready to race? Every month there is a smorgasbord of events for the avid racer to toe the line. Athlinks brings you a highlight of some of the next few weeks best races. Commitment Day  

January 1st – Multiple Locations 

New Year. No Limits. Bring the whole family to run, walk, jog or stroll in a Commitment Day 5K. Your ticket includes a t-shirt, race bib, medal and post-run brunch social. Registration is free for kids under 12 attending with a paid adult.

2019 Resolution Run

January 1st – Atlanta, GA

Start the New Year off on the right foot at the Resolution Run 5K and Mile. This family-friendly event offers something for the whole family, including a Mile and Dash. Even better–the 10:00 am start time lets you sleep in after ringing in the New Year! Make this finish line the first of many that you’ll cross this year.

 

 Mayor Muriel Bowser’s Fit DC Fresh Start 5K

January 1st – Washington, DC 

Join Mayor Muriel Bowser and hundreds of DC residents in the scenic Capitol Riverfront for the #FITDC Fresh Start 5K! As part of the #FITDC initiative, we are inviting people of all ages to join us for this fun fitness activity. Whether you want to run, walk or just cheer folks on, this will be a fun event for all!

 

Walt Disney World® Marathon 

January 7th –  Orlando, FL 

It’s our biggest weekend celebration ever with amazing sights, spectacular surprises and fantastic runs for the whole family including the 25th Anniversary Walt Disney World® Marathon, Half Marathon, Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge, 5K, 5th Anniversary Dopey Challenge, 10K, runDisney Kids Races and Disney Castaway Cay Challenge. Share the magic and the memories during the 25th Anniversary Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend.

 

2019 Life Time Indoor Triathlons

January 20th – Multiple Locations 

Our mission is to inspire athletes of all athletic abilities to consider and commit to racing triathlon in 2019. Indoor Triathlon offers an inspirationally charged, safe and simulated environment for athletes of all fitness levels to experience the nation’s fastest growing sport of triathlon.

 

2019 Fitbit Miami Marathon and Half Marathon

January 26th – Miami, FL

The eyes of the world will be focused on this inspiring and exciting event – the Fitbit Miami Marathon and Half Marathon produced by Life Time. Friends, family and curious spectators will line up along miles of roadways filled with inspiring sights and sounds to cheer on the many that choose to RUN MIAMI!
