First Stop: Cary, North Carolina

The Gildan Esprit de She presented by Burt’s Bees 5K / 10K race in Cary, NC, is the perfect Mother’s Day weekend celebration, taking place on Saturday, May 13th.

If you’re looking for a race that will challenge your personal limits and leave you with a sense of pride and comradery, you’re not alone. A 4-year Gildan Esprit de She veteran, Kim Mettache, has joined with fellow teammates in support of one of their own, Kim Hurley, who is currently fighting ovarian cancer.

Does a laid-back Mother’s Day weekend sound more like your style? When one register for the 5K / 10K event, they’re signing up for the ultimate girls day out. Upon arriving at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre, runners quickly learn that the end goal (beyond the finish line) is a post-race Lifestyle Market. There, participants enjoy Signature Bubbly Bar, massages and mini manis powered by LifeSpa, local eats, and more!

Coming Up: Naperville, Illinois

Next up in the series, all triathletes are invited to participate in the Gildan Esprit de She Sprint Triathlon at Centennial Park in Naperville, IL. Any triathlete can compete as an individual or grab two friends to form a team for the Sprint Triathlon Relay.

Upon arrival to Centennial Beach on Sunday, June 11th, you’re in for a treat. The surrounding park is wonderfully charming and the buzz of female empowerment is contagious. Once the .75K swim course, 21.4K bike course, and 5K run course are completed, join the crowd at the Lifestyle Market where the energy of sisterhood, community, and teamwork that’s felt during the race seems to multiply tenfold.

Interact with the brands that helped to bring this event to life, and soak in the signature Lifestyle Market atmosphere with your sisters who participated alongside you. Bounce from booth to booth, and enjoy local food, great music, and soak in the Spirit of Her.

Esprit de She and the beloved event series sponsors, Gildan, Lorissa’s Kitchen, J.R. Watkins, Gatorade, LifeSpa, Athlinks, Experience Life Magazine and Life Time Fitness, can’t wait to share with you the enthusiasm, excitement, and energy that is felt at every event.
